Oil Pastel Collection

This collection is a reminder that small rituals can lead to something meaningful and beautiful. Carving out a moment in the rhythm of my day to create a piece of art: lighting a candle, listening to music, and getting lost in the tactile freedom of creamy oil pastels applied to the natural fiber of raw cotton canvas. 

Each canvas is cut to size and then frayed by hand. An oil pastel fixative is applied to seal the painting when it is finished, and then mounted and framed in a natural wood and glass shadowbox frame.
