cyanotype Peony - Oil Pastel

*A cyanotype-inspired oil pastel. A project I worked on months ago focused on the cyanotype process: floral setup and chemical application. Here we have an imagined floral piece after chemical processing. 

This painting is a part of my oil pastel canvas series. An everyday ritual of creating art within daily constraints. Each piece is unique and original, signed and dated. 

Vibrant and creamy oil pastels are used on primed cotton canvas. 
The oil pastel has been sealed with an oil pastel fixative upon completion. 

This canvas comes in an 11" x 11" natural oak wood shadow box display frame, with tempered glass. The exterior depth of the frame is 2.4 inches.
The frame has hanging hardware attached.

Each canvas is cut and frayed by hand.
This canvas measures around 8" x 8".
As each piece is cut by hand, there may be slight differences in sizing. 
The canvas is mounted to foam board.
